Title: Choosing Names
Author: badly_knitted
Characters: Jack, Ianto, Gwen, Owen
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 289 – Baby Names at tw100
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: An overheard conversation puzzles Gwen.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
Overhearing an odd conversation between Jack and Ianto had Gwen puzzled.
“I like Millie for a girl,” Ianto commented thoughtfully.
“How about Oscar for a boy?” Jack replied.
“Hmmm, okay. Or Oliver, Ollie for short.”
“No, I knew an Ollie once, he was an idiot.”
“How about Jasper then?”
“I like that. Maggie?”
“No way. I dated a Maggie once. She dumped me.”
Frowning, Gwen hurried over to Owen.
“Jack and Ianto are discussing baby names. Is Jack pregnant?”
Owen snorted. “Hardly. They’ve been arguing all morning over what to name their kitten and they haven’t even got one yet.”

(Yes, Loverboy is the one doing the grooming. He grooms everyone he can pin down, cats or people. His name fits him well!)

Although I do like Oscar for a boy cat, and my friend had a cat called Millie who she had to have put down last week :-( so I would vote for Millie if its a girl in memory of her.
She was a really grumpy little black and white cat who apparently wouldn't let anyone stroke her. Except when I went round she always surprised everyone by coming to me for a cuddle. She never stayed long before wanting to bite me, but at least she came to greet me. I liked her. She had character! Lol.
