FAKE Double Drabble : Ghosts
Title: Ghosts

Setting: Vol. 2, Act 5.
Summary: Dee is a firm believer in the existence of ghosts.
Written Using: The dw100 prompt ‘Ghost’.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: This one’s a double drabble.
Dee couldn’t say exactly why he believed in ghosts; he just did, and had for as long as he could remember. Maybe it had something to do with being raised Catholic, all those Bible references to the Holy Spirit that got drummed into him, or maybe it was something he’d picked up from the older kids at the orphanage. Probably it didn’t matter where the belief had come from, just that it existed.
Believing in ghosts and actually seeing one were two very different things though. It had never crossed his mind to wonder how he’d react if he ever did. As it turned out, the answer was ‘not very well.’
Okay, so it had been totally unexpected, but still, he was a cop, used to facing down armed thugs without flinching, and yet here he was, fleeing in terror from the spectral figure of a young girl. She hadn’t even looked threatening, just desperately sad, but she’d been completely see-through, and then she’d just sort of faded out of existence…
The worst of it was, even though Bikky had seen her too, Ryo hadn’t believed a word of it. He’d accused Dee of making up stories!
The unfeeling cad!
